8th Grader Bryant Western of Edina was involved in an accident where he suffered severe injuries on January 25. The Scotland County students and community came together to take up a collection for the family. Darrell & Lisa Shultz (Parents of Coach Corey Shultz) donated a quarter of beef that was raffled off to highest bidder for $600 (Winning bidder was Freddie Henderson). Together, our school community raised $1414.00 for the Western family. Seniors Bryn Aylward, Abby Doster, Karli Hamilton, & Lauren Triplett presented the donation tonight to Knox County Administrator Jeff Ackman.

During halftime of tonight‘s girls game with Knox County, we will be auctioning a quarter beef with all the proceeds benefiting Bryant Western and family. To this point, we have raised $414 to assist the family.
