Publication students are selling the 2023-2024 yearbooks each morning from now until April 19th. The cost for a yearbook is $35 and they will be delivered to the school in August.

Celebrating Talent: High School Art Day at Culver-Stockton College
Culver-Stockton College recently hosted its annual High School Art Day. Scotland County R-1 art students, including Amiah Durham, Brooklyn Fuller, Alice Darland, Emma Anders, Aria Mishra, Tessa Trimby, Holly Mauk, Morgan Jackson, Kennedy Middleton, Sarah Xavier, and Sophia Xavier, were in attendance. The event involved 14 different schools, and over 100 art pieces competed.
Among the standout talents were Emma Anders and Amiah Durham, who were recognized for their exceptional artwork. Emma's graphite portrait earned her a 2nd place (Silver) award, while Amiah was honored for her vibrant watercolor painting.
In addition to the awards, students participated in workshops covering Printmaking, Reductive Painting, Graphic Design, and Photography. These hands-on experiences allowed students to explore new mediums and techniques in a college classroom.

A big thank you to the Daughters of the American Revolution for sponsoring the field trip to St. Charles and St. Louis this past Saturday. There were 23 students and 5 chaperones in attendance. It was a fun filled day of education.
This reminder is for elementary parents that purchased a book from an outside source for our author visit tomorrow to please send those books with your student. Author Shanda McCloskey will be presenting to students in pre-k through 4th grade. If you purchased a book through her website, she will be bringing those.
The varsity baseball game between Scotland County and Highland, scheduled for tonight, has been rescheduled. We will now play on Friday, March 22. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00.

The DAR field trip to the Revolutionary War Museum and the Arch will leave Saturday morning at 6 am. All meals will be paid for. Students will only need money for extras such as souvenir's and extra food or drinks. We ask that the students can wear something blue as a group and dress appropriately for the weather as it is forecasted to be a high of 70 degrees.
The Scr-1 Drama Club will present No Signs of Intelligent Life this weekend at the Memphis Theatre. Saturday night’s performance will start at 6:00 pm and Sunday’s performance begins at 4:00 pm. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the door prior to each performance or in the high school office.
Attention SC Tiger Football Alumni!! Mark your calendars for August 2nd and August 3rd!!! We are inviting you to celebrate with us for the weekend! Friday August 2nd we invite you out to watch and interact at our last night of Team Camp and then enjoy a BBQ with the team afterwards! Saturday August 3rd we invite you to an Alumni social starting at 6pm. There will be a meal provided and great company! This will be an opportunity to reminisce and support the future of Tiger Football!! Details will be advertised at a later time. We hope to see everyone there and can't wait to relive the glory days!!
Miss. Hunt and Mrs. Rader did a collaboration today for Pi Day with her Geometry class and my second graders. Levi read a book about Pi Day to the class, second graders then filled out a worksheet telling what they learned and then we made crowns to celebrate!
High school parent teacher conferences will be tonight in the gym from 3:45-6:30pm. We look forward to seeing you then!!
