Parent Teacher Organization
The purpose of the organization is to support the education of the children at Scotland County R-1 Elementary School by fostering relationships among the school, parents, and teachers. The Parent Teacher Organization identifies school needs and supports those needs through fund raising activities and membership participation.
Any parent, guardian, or other adult standing in loco parentis for a student enrolled at Scotland County R-1 Elementary School and any staff member wishing to promote the goals of SCR-1 and subscribe to the PTO bylaws may be a member and have voting rights. A member shall pay a $5 membership fee per family per year.
